Summer Picnic
Today I enjoyed a wonderful garden lunch with my family, full of yummy sandwiches, home-made cakes and tea! I thought I would share a few photos and some pictures of my outfit.
I made butterfly cakes for the occasion, which were all eaten very quickly! I used Mary Berry's recipe for orange curd butterfly cakes but instead of orange I used vanilla essence in the batter with clotted cream and raspberry jam filling.
I wore blue and grey floral print trousers (Zara) paired with a sleeveless chiffon blouse (Zara).
I kept accessories to a minimum, wearing only bracelets, as the bold colours and patterns in the outfit complement each other without the need for a lot of jewellery.

I added black wedges (New Look) to give me a bit of height, as I'm quite petite sometimes I feel patterned trousers can swamp me, so the wedges lengthen my legs slightly.
(Spot my cat, Amber, in the bushes!)
I used charcoal and grey colours on my eyes (Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette) and smudged eyeliner above and below my lash line to create a slightly smokey eye. I added a pinky-nude lip gloss (Soap and Glory) to tie the look together, and left my hair natural.
Thanks for reading! xo
