Spot of Tea?
Oh, I am so punny. This is an outfit I wore to Afternoon Tea with my Grandparents two weeks ago, as always, it's 50's/Marilyn inspired! I absolutely LOVE these spotty satin trousers, they remind me so much of my Great Grandmother, she always used to wear silk polka dot dresses and would always wear red lipstick and red beads, I thought she always looked so glam!
I paired these lovely spotted navy trousers (Miss Selfridge) with this white lace peplum top (Siren-Canada) and a white cami underneath. I added red accessories for a 50's pin-up girl look, wearing my red silk necklace from Zanzibar, red bow (American Apparel) my gorgeous red glasses (as always) from Specs Addict and applied YSL Lip Stain/ Gloss/ Stick. I'm loving this lip product at the moment, as you may have already guessed, I'm more of a lipstick kind of girl, as I hate sticky lip-glosses, but this YSL gloss isn't sticky, its a lovely lipstick texture, with a bit of shine, and it stays on all day! Perfect.
I curled my hair for a change, and I think it totally fits in with the 50's look, I love my hair curly, but it takes so long with shorter hair (surprisingly?) when I had long hair, I would curl it all the time, but oh well!
I would usually wear this my red ballet flats with this outfit, but I wanted a bit of height as we were going for Afternoon Tea, so I wore my denim wedges (Stradivarius).
I added this Chloe bag to finish the red accessories and tie the whole look together!
