Come Along With Me: Wollaton Hall

As I have now finished University for the summer (hooray) Siina and I have been exploring more of Nottingham before moving back home in July. We recently had a day out at Wollaton Hall, also known as Wayne Manor from Batman. Here are a few snaps from the day and thoughts!

The grounds and the hall itself are beautiful, the hill at the front of the Hall is a great spot for a picnic with pretty views of the surrounding area. Around the back of the hall are a variety of landscaped gardens with lovely nooks to sit and enjoy nature. Inside the Hall is a naturalist museum with some history on Wollaton Hall and an idea of how the rooms would have been used when it was built.

A short walk down the back of the Hall is a lake with a variety of wildlife and a pathway which follows the circumference of the lake.

As well as landscaped gardens and lakes, there is also a Deer Park with free roaming wild deer and fawns at this time of year.

I'm so grateful to finally be able to wear skirts! We picked the perfect day to go as it was really warm, so I decided to go for a 70s inspired outfit, pairing this paisley skirt (Zara) with orange bat winged (nananananananana) blouse (Zara). I accessorised with a gold snake chain necklace (Accessorize) gold sparkly sandals (Accessorize), beautiful hand-made belt (Joe Barndollar) and of course I can't go anywhere in the sun  without my cat eye sunglasses (Specs Addict).

Overall we had a lovely day and I would recommend it to anyone in Nottingham! It's a 20 minute bus ride from town with a bus stop a short walk away, entrance into the park and the Hall is free and there is a cafe for refreshments and ice cream.

Thanks for reading xo
